Jenise Spiteri, 29, is the sole representative of Malta at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Hosted by Beijing, China, the international winter multisport event will be held from February 4-20, 2022.
Spiteri was born to Maltese parents George Spiteri and Jacki Spiteri in Redwood City, California, United States. Bryan Spiteri and Aaron Spiteri are Jenise’s half-brothers.
Jenise’s boyfriend Ricky Glaser is professional skateboarder from Australia. Her mother was a nationally ranked figure skater in the U.S.

Jenise has been snowboarding since 2010. In 2013, she earned her bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship from Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, Lake Tahoe, Washoe County, Nevada, USA, which was renamed Sierra Nevada University in 2020.
In 2015, Jenise changed her National Olympic Committee from the U.S. to Malta. She competed at the world championships in 2017 and in 2021 and will compete in the snowboarding event halfpipe at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
In July 2015, Beijing was elected as the host city of the 2022 Winter Olympics at the 128th International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This marks the first time the Winter Olympics is held in China.
Including Jenise, a total of 2,871 athletes from 91 countries and territories will compete in 109 events in seven sports. The events will be held not only in Beijing but also in other parts of China including Yanqing and Chongli.
Aside from snowboarding, Jenise also pursues careers in acting and modelling. She starred in “Whiskey Blue” in 2010 and in “Tape” in 2020.
