Jakara Anthony, 23, is one of the 44 athletes representing Australia at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. Held at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou, Hebei, China and Big Air Shougang in Beijing, China, the freestyle skiing competitions started on February 3, 2022 and will end on February 19, 2022.
On February 6, 2022, Anthony won the gold medal in women’s moguls at the Genting Snow Park. Jaelin Kauf, 25, of the United States won silver while Anastasia Smirnova, 19, of Russia won bronze.
Perrine Laffont, 23, of France ranked fourth. Anri Kawamura, 17, of Japan and Olivia Giaccio, 21, of the U.S. finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

Born in Cairns, Queensland, Australia, Anthony has been skiing since 2002. In 2009, she joined the moguls program of the Team Buller Riders at Mount Buller in Victoria.
In 2012, Anthony was offered a position on the Australian Development Ski Team. In 2015, she made her World Cup debut at Deer Valley in Wasatch Range Summit County, Utah, USA.
In 2017, Anthony finished 13th at the Deer Valley World Cup, ninth at the Tazawako World Cup and sixth in the women’s moguls event at the Asian Winter Games. In 2018, she finished fifth at the Deer Valley World Cup and fourth at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Anthony is 5’7″ tall. Based in Barwon Heads, Victoria, Australia, she is currently attending Deakin University in Melbourne, Victoria where she is studying exercise and sport science.
