The Miss Tunisia 2021 coronation night will be held at Bel Azur Thalassa in Hammamet, Tunisia on February 19, 2022. It is the 33rd edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Tunisia’s Miss World, Miss International, Miss Earth and Miss Eco International candidates.
Tunisia currently has two Miss World placements. Representing the African country in the international beauty pageant, Jacqueline Tapia-Boyle was third runner-up in 1957 and Sabrine Khalifa Mansour finished in the Top 40 in 2019.
In Miss International, Tunisia has four placements including the Top 15 finishes of Hajer Radhouene in 1997, Nejla Kouniali in 1998 and Ismahene Lahmar in 2000. Representing the African country, Ibticem Lahmar was runner-up to Miss International 1996 Fernanda Alves of Portugal.
Miss Tunisia 2020 was cancelled amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Amani Layouni of Sousse was 22 when she was appointed as Tunisia’s Miss World 2021 candidate.
From 29 candidates, only 15 finalists were selected to compete for the Miss Tunisia 2021 crowns. If facial beauty is the only criterion, these will be my Top 5 candidates:
#5. Nesrine Haffar, 22, Cap Bon
#4. Cherifa Dhakouani, 27, Bizerte
#3. Mona Ammar, 23, Sfax
#2. Amna Mednini, 25, Medenine
