Meagan Billingsley Deese, 30, of Pelham, Shelby County, Alabama, United States is a former softball player and coach of a travel sports team. Aside from Pelham, she has lived in other parts of Alabama including Columbiana and Cottondale.
As a softball player, Deese played for Ashley Phillips at Shelby County High School in Columbiana. In 2007, Deese helped guide her squad to the state tournament.
During Deese’s freshman season in the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama in 2010, she saw time in 20 games as a reserve. That year, she scored 10 times while frequently used as a pinch runner.
In 2011, Deese started 41 games while appearing in 52 for the UAH Chargers in her sophomore campaign. During her junior season in 2012, she recorded 40 starts and appeared in 53 contests.
Deese is accused of abusing a female juvenile from 2014 to 2016. The Pelham resident was a coach on the juvenile’s travel sports team.
On February 14, 2022, the alleged victim, who was already an adult, told Hoover Police Department officers in Hoover, Alabama that she had been subjected to unwanted sexual contact by Deese over a period of two to three years. Detectives from the department’s special victims unit launched an investigation and obtained warrants for several charges.
On February 23, 2022, Deese was arrested and booked into the Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama. She was charged with sodomy in the first degree, sexual abuse in the first degree and enticing a child to enter a vehicle and house for an immoral purpose.
Deese’s bond was set at $90,000. She was released from jail after posting the bond.

From 2014-16 and now is only coming fourth? Isn’t there a statute of limitations concerning this alleged crime? Absolutely not defending any illegal or illicit actions of the accused, yet it seems suspect at best. Women, especially young women, are some of the most manipulative, lying, evil beings that walk this earth period.
OK, so I checked the statutes of limitations and guidelines for the state of Alabama, and how it is the Pelham P.D. obtained a warrant is beyond me. The alleged victim is out of gas all around, and this according to what is posted.
Statutes of limitation apply here, and so do a few other elements it seems with the limited data being presented… The warrant states :
Sodomy in the first degree(not forced, then it would be rape), sexual abuse in the first degree(Again, no violence) and enticing a child to enter a vehicle and house for an immoral purpose.
Now it really sounds suspect, and I believe they have violated Deeses civil rights and themselves have committed a crime, all in the name of Justice. I am a practicing Forensic psychologist and have been witness to cases such as this, and the fact is only around 21% are actually true. Conviction rate is even less due to no evidence, length of time between the alleged incident and reporting to LEO. 21 cases are valid out of 100 reports. 6% are convicted. 12% take plea deals, 3% get tossed by a Judge.
I with all my soul respect and support our LEOs across our Nation, yet absolutely loath and despise attention seekers, and Cops who will violate the law to intimidate an alleged criminal into a confession through illegal and immoral means. Liars and bad cops all need to be sent to prison, or a dirt nap.
