“The Latest” Mohammad Fakhreddine, 37, of Lebanon is currently in Bahrain. He is set to fight “L’Ambiance” Mohamed Said Maalem, 39, of Algeria and Switzerland at “BRAVE CF 57“, the first BRAVE Combat Federation event in 2022.
Featuring 12 professional mixed martial arts bouts and one amateur MMA fight, “BRAVE CF 57” will be held at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain on March 11, 2022. In the co-main event of the evening, Fakhreddine and Maalem will fight for the vacant BRAVE CF Light Heavyweight Championship.
The “BRAVE CF 57” co-main event is a rematch between Fakhreddine and Maalem. They first fought for the BRAVE CF Light Heavyweight Championship belt at “BRAVE CF 52” in Milan, Italy on August 1, 2021.
Maalem defeated Fakhreddine. However, the Italian MMA Federation later ruled the fight a No Contest due to illegal blows by the Algerian-Swiss contender.
Fakhreddine is the reigning BRAVE CF Middleweight World Champion. He earned the title by defeating Daniel Souza Pereira of Brazil via punches at “BRAVE CF 41” in Bahrain on September 17, 2020.
If Fakhreddine wins at “BRAVE CF 57”, he will become the first ever two-division BRAVE CF world champion. He has yet to defend his middleweight title.
Also on the “BRAVE CF 57” card is Fakhreddine’s protégé Adon “The Shark” Ayoub, 22, of Beirut, Lebanon. They prepared together in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for their respective fights.
