Fighting professionally since 2017, Patterson joined BRAVE CF in 2019. On November 6, 2021, he earned his fourth win in the promotion by submitting Kamil Magomedov of Moscow, Russia via guillotine choke at “BRAVE CF 55” in Rostov-on-don, Russia.

BRAVE CF president Mohammed “The Hawk” Shahid was very impressed by Patterson’s performance that night. The victory improved the Walford native’s professional MMA record to 8 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw.

“Sam Patterson is indeed the future of this sport,” Shahid said. “It’s not just his moniker (but also) because he embodies every sense of the word. Look at his magnificent performance. It left us wanting more.”

“I’m excited to see what the future holds for The Future,” the BRAVE CF president said of Patterson. “With him being around, it just makes the promotion’s stacked lightweight division more interesting.”

A total of 16 countries are represented at “BRAVE CF 47.” These are Afghanistan, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, England, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Russia, Switzerland and Uzbekistan.

Patterson solely represents England. Osmaev, Kamil Magomedov and Magomed Idrisov represent Russia.
