Enola, Pennsylvania’s David Scott Delong arrested, accused of threatening coworkers


David Scott Delong, 53, of Enola, Pennsylvania, United States is a teacher at a high school in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Aside from Enola, he has lived in other parts of Pennsylvania including Carlisle, Reading, Dauphin and Hummelstown.

On the morning of March 16, 2022, Delong allegedly sent threatening emails to other staff members of the Harrisburg high school where he was teaching. Later that day, the Harrisburg City Police Criminal Investigation Division received information from the Harrisburg School District about the emails.

At 2:30 p.m., Delong was arrested at his residence without incident by the Harrisburg Bureau of Police. He was not at the school when he sent the emails to his coworkers and when it was reported to the police.

Delong was charged with one count of terroristic threats. He has no prior criminal history.


Enola is census-designated place in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. It is directly across the Susquehanna River from Harrisburg, which is the capital city of Pennsylvania.

Wanda Williams, 68, is the incumbent mayor of Harrisburg. She assumed office on January 3, 2022.
