Stephanie Sudarin Sin, 32, was born and raised in San Francisco, California, United States. In 2021, she met on an app a boy, then 14, of Novi, Oakland County, Michigan, USA.
From the app, the conversation between Sin and the boy moved to texts and it progressively more explicit, according to Novi Police Department. After communicating via texts for one year, she allegedly flew in from California to meet up with him.
On April 10, 2022, Sin rented an Airbnb in Royal Oak, Oakland County, Michigan for a month and allegedly tried to convince the boy to meet her there for sex. When she sent an Uber to the boy’s house in Novi, he got scared and told his parents, who called the Novi Police Department.
Shortly after, Novi Police Department officers arrested Sin. She is being held in the Oakland County Jail in Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan on a $100,000 cash or surety bond.
Sin was charged with one count of child sexually abusive activity and one count of using a computer to commit a crime. Both charges are 20-year felonies.
At 9:00 a.m. on April 20, 2022, Sin will appear in court for a probable cause conference. She has yet to have an attorney.
