Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, the Ultimate Fighting Championship has confirmed “ROAD TO UFC“, a tournament that will give top mixed martial arts prospects from Asia to make it to the global stage. The winners will earn a UFC contract.
There will be four men’s weight classes at “ROAD TO UFC” namely flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight and lightweight. Eight fighters will compete in each weight class.

The “ROAD TO UFC” quarterfinals will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore from June 9-10, 2022. The schedule of the semifinals and finals has yet to be released.
On each card, there will be one non-tournament bout. All rounds of the tournament will be witnessed by a live audience.
“ROAD TO UFC” fighters are expected to be from China, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea and Thailand. The list of the participating athletes will soon be released.
There are several Asian MMA fighters currently signed with the UFC including Zhang Weili, 32, who became the promotion’s first ever champion from China in 2019. Also from China, Li Jingliang, 34, and Yan Xiaonan, 32, have been competing in the promotion since 2014 and 2017, respectively.
Jung Chan-sung, 35, of South Korea has been competing in the UFC since 2011. UFC fighter Michelle Waterson, 36, was born in Aurora, Colorado, USA to an American father and a Thai mother.
