Miss Florida USA 2021 Ashley Ann Cariño Barreto, 27, of South Kissimmee, Florida, United States will crown her successor at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts in Coral Springs, Florida on May 29, 2022. It is the 71st edition of the state-level beauty pageant that selects Florida’s candidate for Miss USA, which selects the Miss Universe candidate of the U.S.

Currently, Florida has 29 Miss USA placements including the first runner-up finishes of Marcia Valibus in 1958 and Clo Cabrera in 1987. The state finished second runner-up in the national beauty pageant via Nanita Greene in 1959, Cheryl Patton in 1967, Barbara Bowser in 1980 and Cariño in 2021.

Cariño was crowned Miss Florida USA 2021 at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts on July 18, 2021 with Shakera L. Quince of South Orlando as her runner-up. The respective second, third, fourth and fifth runners-up were Mi’a Callens of Lakes of Orlando, Taylor Fulford of Okeechobee County, Alyssa Racquel Hill of Windermere and Brianne Bailey of Weston.
