Taryn Nicole Varvel, 33, of Hernando, Citrus County, Florida, United States is accused of getting rowdy at the Yellow Pony bar at World Equestrian Center (WEC) in Ocala, Marion County, Florida on May 25, 2022. She allegedly punched a bar guest so she was told to leave the bar.
As WEC security team members escorted Varvel towards the parking lot, she allegedly continued to make a disturbance then battered them once they reached the parking lot. She allegedly headbutted one of them in the nose twice and punched another victim on the left side of his face.

Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the WEC parking lot. One of them ordered Varvel to place her hands behind her back but she refused to comply with the request.
Instead, Varvel punched the deputy in the chest and continued to ignore his commands so he had to escort her to the ground where she continued to resist. After a brief struggle, she was secured in handcuffs.
After a medical evaluation at the hospital, Varvel was medically cleared and arrested. She was booked into the Marion County Jail in Ocala.
Varvel has been released on $12,000 bond. She is facing two misdemeanor charges for battery and felony charges for resisting an officer with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer.
Aside from Hernando, Varvel has lived in other parts of Florida including Miami Beach. She previously lived in Michigan, USA particularly in Erie, Plymouth, Ann Arbor and Milford.
