Miss Universe Iceland 2021 Elisa Gróa Steinþórsdóttir, 28, of Garðabær, Capital Region, Iceland will crown her successor at Gamla Bíó in Reykjavik, Iceland on August 24, 2022. It is the seventh edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Iceland’s Miss Universe and Miss Supranational candidates.
Currently, Iceland has six Miss Universe placements and one Miss Supranational placement. The most recent ones were the Top 10 finish of Birta Abiba Þórhallsdóttir at Miss Universe 2019 and the Top 25 finish of Húgrun Birta Egilsdottir at Miss Supranational 2019.
Representing the Capital Region, Steinþórsdóttir was crowned Miss Universe Iceland 2019 at Gamla Bio on September 29, 2021. Íris Freyja Salguero Kristínardóttir, 23, of Mosfellsbær, Capital Region was crowned Miss Supranational Iceland 2019.
