Dusseldorf, Germany’s Islam Dulatov earns 1st BRAVE CF win, knocks out Brazil’s Kleverson Cruz in Bonn

Islam Dulatov, 24, of Dusseldorf, Germany has earned his first victory in BRAVE Combat Federation, which is based in Bahrain. The mixed martial artist, who is also a model, is of Chechen descent.

In association with Germany-based MMA promotion National Fighting Championship, BRAVE CF held “BRAVE CF 61” at Maritim Hotel in Bonn, Germany on August 6, 2022. In the eighth bout of the evening, Dulatov fought Kleverson “The Predestined” Cruz, 27, of Brasilia, Federal District, Brazil in the welterweight division.

The welterweight contest between Dulatov and Cruz did not go past the first round. The Chechen-German MMA fighter sent the crowd into a frenzy when he stopped his Brazilian opponent.

Cruz threw all his energy behind his punches. Instead of guarding up, Dulatov obliged and headed straight in the fire with his opponent taking the heat before landing punches of his own, which ended in a knockout victory.

Also known as “NFC 10“, “BRAVE CF 61” marked Dulatov’s BRAVE CF debut. The victory improved his professional MMA record to 7 wins and 1 loss and downgraded Cruz’s record to 12 wins and 8 loss.

It was Dulatov’s second NFC fight. On April 2, 2022, he submitted Michael Rirsch, 36, of Austria at “NFC 8” at Maritim Hotel.

Dulatov has three brothers namely Djibril Dulatov, 28, Sulumbek Dulatov, 27, and Tamerlan Dulatov, 22, who are also models and MMA fighters. In 2007, the four brothers and their parents fled Chechnya, Russia and moved to Dusseldorf.

On September 7, 2019, Djibril successfully made his professional MMA debut by beating Daniel Vogel, 21, of Germany via unanimous decision at “German MMA Championship 21” at Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany. In the same event, Islam made his professional MMA debut and lost via unanimous decision to Gjoni Palokaj, 26, of Hannover, Germany.
