Yuliya Shcherban represented Canada in the 11th edition of Miss Grand International. It was won by Luciana Fuster of Peru.
BIOGRAPHY
Shcherban is a Ukrainian-Canadian figure skater, model and beauty queen from Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, Canada. She attended Holy Rosary High School in Lloydminster and the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Growing up in Canada, Shcherban devoted her time away from her studies to training as a competitive figure skater. She graced the cover of Ukrainian People, a magazine based in Chicago, Illinois, United States, in 2018 and she was published in the Winter 2022 edition of Chaarmz Magazine, which is based in Toronto.

Shcherban speaks English, Ukrainian, Russian and French. While attending Holy Rosary High School, she was rejected from a university course offered to final year high school students because she did not meet the minimum age requirement.
2010s
- In January 2017, she and four of her friends founded the Beba Project, a charitable initiative helping mothers with infants in need in her local community.
- In January 2018, she received the Quadruple Gold Achievement Award from the Alberta Figure Skating Foundation.
- In May 2018, she wrote and delivered a speech at a Pecha Kucha event.
- On July 15, 2018, she was crowned Miss Ukrainian Canada 2018.
- In September 2018, she, Miss Ukraine Toronto 2018 Milla Rock and Miss Ukrainian Canada 2018 second runner-up Galyna Buz attended the annual Bloor West Village Ukrainian Festival in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
2020s
- From January 2022 to May 2022, she volunteered for SOS Children’s Villages Ukraine as a fundraiser.
- On May 14, 2022, she competed against 53 other candidates at Miss Universe Canada 2022 at the Meridian Arts Centre in Toronto. She was second runner-up to Amelia Tu.
- On November 13, 2022, she competed against 49 other Miss Grand Canada 2023 candidates at the Richmond Hill Centre in Richmond Hill, Ontario. She won the title.
- In May 2023, she visited Holy Rosary High School and helped students who were raising funds for the Wildfire Relief Efforts in Alberta.
- On July 1, 2023, she visited Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
- On August 8, 2023, she visited the University of Toronto on August 8, 2023.
- On October 25, 2023, she represented Canada at Miss Grand International 2023 and competed against 68 other candidates at the Phú Thọ Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She was unplaced.
- In April 2024, she joined Van Cleef and Arpels as a maison host.
