Did Sacramento, California’s Holga Castillo Olivares hide Michael Ramirez for 2 years?

Michael Ramirez was 15 years old when he was last seen at his home in Rancho Cardova, Sacramento County, California, United States on May 18, 2020. He left his home after an argument.

On June 9, 2020, Ramirez was reported missing, according to the Rancho Cardova Police Department. After an extensive search, law enforcement failed to locate the teenager.

Ramirez allegedly stayed at the home of one of his friends. The friend’s mother Holga Castillo Olivares, 61, works at Alice Birney Waldorf-Inspired K-8 School in Sacramento, Sacramento County as a teacher.

On March 11, 2022, Ramirez went home. On October 20, 2022, Rancho Cardova Police Department detectives arrested Olivares at Alice Birney Waldorf-Inspired K-8 School after students were dismissed for the day.

Olivares was charged with detention of a minor with the intent to conceal from a parent and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The charges filed are for acts unrelated to her assigned duties as a teacher, according to the Sacramento City Unified School District.

While the school district investigates, Olivares is on administrative leave. She is ineligible for bail and is set to appear in court on October 24, 2022.
