Darrell Edward Brooks Jr. is a black rapper also known as MathBoi Fly. He was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States and he previously lived in Peoria, Illinois, USA, in Richmond, California, USA, in Sparks, Nevada, USA and in Reno, Nevada.
Brooks is 5’8″ tall and his registered weight is 150 pounds. He is Dawn Woods‘ son.
A red 2010 Ford Escape sport utility vehicle is registered to an older woman who lives in Brooks’ residence in Milwaukee. In 2011, he was charged with marijuana possession and in 2016, he was arrested for failure to obey sex offender laws in Nevada.
In April 2021, Brooks started dating a Milwaukee woman, who he knew since they were young. He disappeared when their son was almost 3 months old, according to her.
On May 27, 2021, Brooks was arrested in Union City, Georgia, USA after a man at a motel reported hearing him repeatedly striking a woman. On May 28, 2021, he was released on signature bond and he returned to Wisconsin.
On November 2, 2021, Brooks used a red 2010 Ford Escape SUV to run over the woman at a gas station and she was taken to Froedhert Hospital in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin for her injuries. On November 5, 2021, he was charged with resisting an officer, felony bail jumping, second-degree recklessly endangering safety with domestic abuse assessments, disorderly conduct and battery in Milwaukee.
On November 19, 2021, Woods posted the $1,000 bond for Brooks. On November 21, 2021, he was arrested after a red Ford Escape SUV he was driving plowed into crowds at the 58th annual holiday parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, killing at least five people and injuring at least 40 others.
Brooks is the twin brother of Eboni Danielle Brooks. Here are 13 more things about him:
- In 1999, he was convicted of substantial battery with intent to inflict substantial bodily harm. After he pleaded guilty, Judge Bonnie Gordon sentenced him to 3 years of probation and 6 months in the House of Correction.
- In 2002, he was convicted of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) possession while still on probation and sentenced to 50 days in the House of Correction. In 2003, he was convicted of resisting an officer. Judge Raymond Gieringer sentenced him to 20 days.
- In 2005, he was convicted of obstructing an officer again in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. After his arrest, Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa freed him on a $300 signature bond. He failed to appear for a hearing so a bench warrant was issued but he had already taken off for Nevada.
- In November 2006, he went back to Wisconsin and pleaded guilty to statutory sexual seduction. He was accused of having consensual sex with a girl, then 15, and conceiving a child with her. He posted bail, which Court Commissioner Raymond Greig set at $100. He failed to show up for another hearing so another bench warrant was issued. After he was convicted, Judge Patrick Willis sentenced him to 2 days in jail and ordered him to pay a fine, which he never paid.
- From March 2007 to September 2008, he served his sentence in the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City, Nevada.
- In 2010, he was convicted of felony strangulation and suffocation and misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal damage to property in Wood County, Wisconsin. After a no contest plea, Judge Todd Wolf sentenced him to three years’ probation and 90 days in jail.
- When Milwaukee Police Department officer Garry Inman stopped him in Milwaukee in March 2011, he gave a false name Landon Deal, turned his car on and shifted to drive. He was charged with resisting or obstructing an officer for the third time in Milwaukee County. Court Commissioner Cedric Cornwall freed him on a $1,000 signature bond. After a plea deal, Judge Nelson Phillips sentenced him to 37 days in jail.
- In 2012, he was charged with probation violation, resisting, extradition, two counts of bail jumping, THC possession and multiple counts of failure to appear.
- On January 25, 2014, his twin sister Eboni died of an illness. On August 15, 2016, a warrant for his arrest was issued for jumping bail but he moved back to Wisconsin and never appeared in court.
- On July 24, 2020, he shot at Eboni’s son Anaji Brooks in a fight over a cellphone. He, his mother and Anaji lived in the same four-bedroom house in Arlington Heights, Milwaukee. He was charged with two counts of use of dangerous weapon and a felony count of possession of a firearm. From $7,500, his bail dropped to just $500. On February 21, 2021, he posted bail. In September 2021, Anaji pleaded for a judge to issue him a no-contact order.
- On November 23, 2021, he appeared at the Waukesha County Courthouse and was ordered held on $5 million and charged with five counts of first-degree intentional homicide.
- On June 20, 2022 by reason of mental disease or defect, his attorneys indicated he was changing his not guilty plea. He was charged with 83 counts and his trial started on October 3, 2022 and was convicted on October 26, 2022 of one count of misdemeanor domestic battery, two counts of felony bail jumping, six counts of fatal hit and run and 61 counts of recklessly endangering safety with the use of a dangerous weapon. On November 16, 2022, Judge Jennifer Dorow ordered him to serve a life sentence without the possibility of extended supervision for each of the six counts of first-degree intentional homicide with the use of a dangerous weapon and sentenced him to 17.5 years for each of the 61 counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety with the use of a dangerous weapon.
- He was 41 years old when Alma V. Garcia Ramirez, Lucio Hernandez Rubio and their two children filed a civil complaint on September 14, 2023 against him and Progressive Universal Insurance Company.

Definitely worried about his behavior throughout the years culminating in something that hopefully even the courts cannot just wipe away with their lack of enforcement as they have in the past. Not worried at all about his looks.
Good guys have plenty of different looks and so do bad guys. Only in the old movies is it clear who is wearing a white hat versus the black hat.

I will say like countless people That get in trouble with the law that they have the opportunity to counteract their behavior. Or find the way to get the help that they need. The problem is they don’t see their error of their behavior they perceive themselves as the victims. It’s not like the courts or the people around them in their lives do not realize that there are sociopath. It is very evident but the problem is is there are so many people being raised to believe there are no consequences for their actions they have no moral compass they have no compassion for others and this is where as families families and communities An especially parents need to consider the fact that we need to raise better human beings or we are doomed in humanity. His own family knew he was a danger to the community T and they just ignored it. Sadly innocent people had to die be brutally injured and will suffer the consequences for the rest of their life of his actions. The worst part for me was watching the trial and his other disdain for the law. His absolute arrogance and disrespect . For the dead for the injured For the trauma of the whole entire city of Waukesha. I do want to thank the judge , District attorney’s office, The jurors, Investigators, Police officers, witnesses, the injured And the heart broken community. For their patience They are Heroes in my book. I Pray for the whole community especially the victims and their families may God-bless you to know that oh that this man will never see Freedom again.

This character is the very reason I do not believe in the bail system or the parole system. Darrell Brooks should never have been let out of jail on bail under any circumstances. In fact, he needs to be put under the jail. I would not even classify as an animal let alone a human being.

I’ve been watching this fiasco they call a trial. Why is the taxpayers money being wasted on this asshat?
He’s a violent killer. HIS Rights? What about the rights of the 5 he mowed down and the 40 he injured? Did he consider THEIR RIGHTS when he was knocking them down like bowling pins. Of course not because he thinks because he’s a rapper he’s above the law. I say throw him in a LIONS DEN AND LET THEM SORT IT OUT!!!!

I have watched this whole show oat of a trial. That judge has allowed this pathetic pos control that entire courtroom from day 1. It’s sickening how disrespectful he is. For a judge to argue with this fool like she does for the length of time that she does is absurd. Now, he is doing his closing argument as we speak and he is trying his best to blame this tragedy on a malfunction of his vehicle and says how he believes in Jesus Christ and he brings his noble with him to court everyday. He says he has always carried his noble with him everywhere he goes since he came out of the womb. 🤔He said that he doesn’t understand why it was God’s will for him to plow over all of the people that he injured and killed. Asking for the jury to look inside themselves and their hearts and deem him not guilty. Wow! He’s disgusting and deserves to fry.

If you have been watching him you have been giving him the time of day so you say how can the judge sit and argue with him and waste the time to argue with him you are wasting your time watching him so no different that is why I wouldn’t give him the time of day and waste my time watching it he is just making a joke out of everything and for him to have kids how would he like it if someone did that to his kids or his own mother but I guess it wouldn’t bother him since he ran over his ex girlfriend he don’t even know what he is doing in court he is just wasting everyone’s time he don’t care what he did that is fully clear he is just making a mockery of everything he is not fooling anyone not even the jury we all know he is going away

Yeah, notice the crime in Georgia #12 on the list – it just says signature bond. As in $0 bail. That’s the most masterful failure on this entire list. I hold Georgia’s failure of a justice system in partial blame here. They knew this long list of crimes and yet just let him sign as though his word is worth anything. Amazing.

I hope he will be a short term resident at the same prison Jeffery Dahmer was at. Even the worst of the worst will not put up with a child killer. Our system is broke. He was given so much leniency all those years and here we are today. All of those who reduced his bail, reduced his jail terms, and basically did not throw away the key, shame on you all, you have blood on your hands. Today is a sad day, 100% preventable.

2 days in jail for impregnating a 15 year old. This madness ends when we hold judges and prosecutors accountable. If they let a killer or a rapist onto the streets, their family gets killed or raped in front of them.
