Lisa Rogers Eaton, 56, lives in the Silver Lake Mobile Home Resort mobile home park in Saint Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida, United States with her husband Bill Eaton. They got engaged on May 21, 2009 and got married on August 31, 2009.

When Michael Dougherty, 40, lost his job, he started living with Lisa and Bill in their house in St. Petersburg. Whether or not he is originally from St. Petersburg is unclear.

There are still no details about how Dougherty is related to Bill and Lisa. On the morning of November 22, 2022, Dougherty allegedly hit Lisa in her house in St. Petersburg in the head with a hatchet.

At 10:36 a.m., the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene. Lisa was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Before the deputies arrived, Dougherty fled to Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida. Later that day, his car was located near the city.

At around 2:50 a.m. on November 24, 2022, an Alachua County Sheriff’s Office deputy pulled over Dougherty and arrested him. He is being held at the Alachua County Jail in Gainesville.

Authorities are arranging for Dougherty to be taken to the Pinellas County Jail in Highpoint, Pinellas County. He was charged with one count of attempted second-degree murder.
