Richard Allen Harris, 27, of Glenpool, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, United States is accused of stabbing Roy Tyler Baker, 29, of Grove, Delaware County, Oklahoma. The latter also lived in Muskogee, Oklahoma and Lowell, Benton County, Arkansas, USA.
On the evening of November 25, 2022, Glenpool Police Department officers found Baker unconscious near South Elwood Avenue and East 141st Street in Glenpool. Harris was found covered in blood.
At around 11:30 p.m., the officers arrested Harris while medics tried to revive Baker. Shortly after midnight, the victim was pronounced dead.
At around 3:30 a.m. on November 26, 2022, Harris was booked into Tulsa County Jail in Tulsa, Tulsa County without bond. He was charged with first-degree murder.
What led to the stabbing is still unknown. The Glenpool Police Department did not confirm whether or not Harris and Baker knew each other.
Glenpool primarily a commuter town for Tulsa. The two cities are 14 miles apart.
The city council of Glenpool is comprised of five council members and each member is elected to serve a four-year term. Joyce Calvert is the incumbent mayor of the city while Brandon Kearns is the vice mayor.
