Tanner Hoang of Flower Mound, Texas, United States has died. He was 22.
Hoang attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas where he studied mechanical engineering. He is Alisa Hoang‘s son and Quan Hoang‘s nephew.
At 8:00 a.m. on December 16, 2022, Tanner’s phone was shut off. At 8:30 a.m., his father texted him and the message was marked read.
At around 11:00 a.m., Tanner was seen on Colgate Drive in College Station. At around 12:00 p.m., he was seen with his 2009 silver Lexus four-door sedan at a Shell station in Caldwell, Texas where he used his debit card to pay for gas.
Tanner’s family was supposed to meet him for lunch that noon. Later that day, his family reported him missing.
The family members were in College Station to attend Tanner’s graduation. They later learned he had fallen short of the requirements to graduate.
On December 23, 2022, Tanner’s car was found abandoned. On the afternoon of December 24, 2022, his body was found near Pennybacker Bridge on Loop 360 in Austin, Texas.
Police do not suspect foul play. The cause of death has yet to be released.
