Who is Israel James Easterday?

  1. He is a resident of Munfordville, Kentucky.
  2. Aside from Munfordville, he has lived in other parts of Kentucky including Bonnieville.
  3. While living on a family farm in Bonnieville, he was homeschooled by his mother.
  4. On April 19, 2010, he sold buttons during a rally of about 500 pro-gun demonstrators near the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C., USA.
  5. On January 6, 2021, he joined the U.S. Capitol riot in Washington, D.C. wearing a gray shirt, a dark brown jacket and a black beanie with an “I heart Trump” statement on it. During the riot, he assaulted U.S. Capitol Police officers Joshua Pollitt and Miguel Acevedo with pepper spray that he acquired from other rioters.
  6. He is listed as the registered agent for Misty Valley Commercial Roofing LLC, a limited-liability company filed on July 1, 2021 and based in Bonnieville.
  7. On April 21, 2022, the Federal Bureau of Investigation‘s field office in Washington. D.C. notified the bureau’s Bowling Green Resident Agency of him.
  8. On April 25, 2022, an FBI special agent interviewed a law enforcement officer at the Hart County Sheriff’s Office in Munfordville, who claimed to be personally familiar with him.
  9. On September 1, 2022, a grand jury indicted him.

  11. On December 8, 2022, FBI agents arrested him in Miami, Florida, USA where his boat was docked for a missionary trip to provide free bibles to churches in the Bahamas.
  12. On October 26, 2023, he was found guilty of six felonies and three misdemeanors.
  13. He was 23 years old when Chief Judge James Boasberg sentenced him on April 22, 2024 to two years and six months in prison for pepper spraying two police officers in the face.
