The Miss Alaska USA 2023 coronation ceremony will be held at the Bartlett High School Auditorium in Anchorage, Alaska, United States on January 14, 2023. It is the 72nd edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Alaska’s official candidate for Miss USA, which selects the Miss Universe candidate of the U.S.
On March 19, 2022, Courtney Schuman of Cook Inlet was crowned Miss Alaska USA 2022 at Bartlett High School in Anchorage. Jordan Brielle Naylor of South Anchorage and Brenna Schaake of Fairbanks were the respective first and second runners-up.
From 1952 to 1958, Alaska competed in Miss Universe as a territory. Since 1958, the state has been competing in Miss USA.
Alaska currently has five Miss USA placements, including the second runner-up finish of Patricia Marlin in 1964 and the Top 6 finish of Karin Meyer in 1990. The most recent one was in 2017 when Alyssa London finished in the Top 10.
