Who is Tadarrius Bean?
Aside from Olive Branch, Bean has lived in other parts of Mississippi including Horn Lake. He is 5’10” tall and his registered weight is 230 pounds.
Before becoming a police officer, Bean worked at a fast-food restaurant in Mississippi. From 2014 to 2015, he was a varsity football player in Center Hill High School in Olive Branch and in 2016, he graduated from the school.
In April 2018, Bean became the president of the Omega Psi Phi‘s Eta Zeta chapter at the University of Mississippi in University, Lafayette County, Mississippi. In May 2020, he graduated from the university with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
In August 2020, the Memphis Police Department hired Bean. On January 7, 2023, he and his fellow Memphis Police Department officers Demetrius Haley, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills Jr. and Justin Smith allegedly caused the injuries of Memphis resident Tyre Nichols, who was pronounced dead on January 10, 2023.
On January 20, 2023, the Memphis Police Department fired Bean, Haley, Martin, Mills and Smith. The four former police officers were found to be directly responsible for the physical abuse of Nichols, Memphis Police Department chief CJ Davis said on January 25, 2023.
On the morning of January 26, 2023, Bean was arrested and booked into the Shelby County Jail in Memphis. In the afternoon, he posted $250,000 bond and was released.
