David Augustin Hodge Jr., 30, of Tamarac, Broward County, Florida, United States previously lived in Miami Gardens, Miami-Dade County, Florida and Stockbridge, Henry County, Georgia, USA. He is David Augustin Hodge Sr. and Rhonda Crawford‘s son.

In 2010, David Jr. graduated from Stockbridge High School on Old Conyers Road in Stockbridge. From 2011 to 2016, he went to Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens.

In October 2016, the Miami-Dade County Public Schools hired David Jr. as a teacher. He started teaching at West Homestead K-8 Center in Homestead, Miami-Dade County on August 16, 2018 and later became the director of the school’s chess club.

In October 2022, David Jr. allegedly started a romantic and sexual relationship with a female student, then 12. He was her science teacher.

When David Jr. started a relationship with the girl, they alleged exchanged pictures of their sexual private parts via Instagram. On numerous occasions from November 2022 to January 6, 2023, the online communication allegedly advanced to touching and ultimately progressed to oral sex and penetration.

On February 1, 2023, David Jr. was arrested and booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail in Miami, Miami-Dade County. He was charged with engaging in a sexual act with a child.

On February 2, 2023, a judge declined to set bond for David Jr. He was ordered to stay away from the girl he allegedly had a relationship with.
