US Marshals, KBI arrest Dakota Bunting in Oklahoma, Tatum Escamilla in Arkansas, Dalton Palmer in Kansas

The United States Marshals Service and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation have arrested Dalton Levi Palmer, 29, Dakota Wayne Bunting, 24, and Tatum Elois Escamilla, 19. The three are accused of being involved in the exchange of gunfire in Salina, Saline County, Kansas, USA at around 3:20 a.m. on May 7, 2022.

Three people were shot that morning namely Dylan Eugene Garman, 25, of Salina, another man, 25, and a woman, 18. They were all rushed to the Salina Regional Health Center Emergency Room.

Galman was pronounced dead by hospital staff. The other male victim underwent surgery and was transferred to another hospital in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas.

At 4:00 p.m. that day, Palmer was named a person of interest. He, Bunting and Escamilla are all Salina residents.

On January 31, 2023, Kansas Bureau of Investigation agents arrested Palmer in Salina. He was charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied vehicle.

On February 1, 2023, US Marshals arrested Escamilla in Benton County, Arkansas. She was charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.

On February 6, 2023, US Marshals arrested Bunting in Bryant County, Oklahoma, USA. He was charged with  voluntary manslaughter, criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and unlawful possession of marijuana.
