Sugar Grove, Ohio’s Joseph Ennemoser charged with kidnapping, importuning

Joseph Aloysius Ennemoser, 48, of Sugar Grove, Fairfield County, Ohio, United States is a registered sex offender. He is 5’10” tall and his registered weight is 255 pounds.

In 2001, Ennemoser allegedly sexually abused a girl, then 7. After pleading guilty to two counts of gross sexual imposition in 2003, he was convicted in Licking County, Ohio and was sentenced to six years in prison.

At around 8:45 a.m. on September 15, 2022, Ennemoser allegedly exited his white Chevrolet pickup truck and exposed himself to a girl, then 10, who was walking to Avery Elementary School in Hilliard, Franklin County, Ohio. She ran away and he allegedly got back into his truck and followed her out of the neighborhood.

Ennemoser was charged with criminal enticement, a fifth-degree felony. Because he is a previously convicted sex offender, the charge was elevated.

While out on bond awaiting trial, Ennemoser allegedly drove his white Chevrolet pickup truck and tried to abduct a girl, 12, who was walking to Groveport Madison Middle School North in Columbus, Ohio on February 10, 2023. On February 12, 2022, he was arrested and charged with kidnapping and felony importuning. 

Ennemoser is currently in the custody of Madison Township Police Department in Groveport, Franklin County. His trial is slated for March 7, 2023.
