Ziyad Ibrahim Almaayouf is an American boxer of Saudi and Egyptian descent. His fight name is Zizzo and he fights out of Los Angeles, California, United States.

Almaayouf is 5’10” tall and he competes in the super lightweight division. Here are 13 more things about him:

  1. He was born in New York, USA to a Saudi father and an Egyptian mother.
  2. He was raised in Egypt. He initially played tennis there but later started his boxing training with the encouragement of his mother unbeknownst to his father who was often in Saudi Arabia for business.
  3. In 2015, he started competing as an amateur boxer. He had 17 amateur boxing bouts before turning professional.
  4. In October 2017, he was in Aswan, Egypt.
  5. In November 2017, he visited Budapest, Hungary.
  6. In August 2018, he trained with Freddie Roach in Los Angeles.
  7. In July 2019, he moved to Los Angeles. From August 2019 to January 2020, he went to the University of La Verne in La Verne, California.

  10. He was supposed to make his professional boxing debut on June 5, 2022 and fight Marlon Hardnick Jr. of Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles but the bout was cancelled.
  11. In July 2022, he went to Liverpool, England, United Kingdom where he trained with McGirt and Callum Smith.
  12. On August 20, 2022, he made his professional boxing debut at the Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where he knocked out Alfredo Alatorre of Mexico. He is the first Saudi fighter to compete in a professional boxing bout.
  13. He was 22 years old when he defeated Ronnald Martinez of Ecuador via unanimous decision on February 26, 2023 at the Diriyah Arena in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, which improved his professional boxing record to 2 wins and 0 loss.
