Mike Perry, Luke Rockhold to headline ‘BKFC 41’ in Denver, Colorado

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship will hold “BKFC 31” at the the 1st Bank Center in Denver, Colorado, United States on April 29, 2023. The main event is a light heavyweight match between “Platinum” Mike Perry, 31, of Orlando, Florida, USA and Luke Rockhold, 38, of San Jose, California, USA.

This marks Rockhold’s BKFC debut. It will be Perry’s third bout in the bare-knuckle boxing promotion based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

Also making his BKFC debut at “BKFC 31” is “The Underground King” Eddie Alvarez, 39, of Philadelphia. He will fight “Money” Chad Mendes, 36, of Hanford, California in the lightweight division.

Perry, Rockhold, Alvarez and Mendes are all former Ultimate Fighting Championship fighters. Alvarez also competed in Bellator MMA and ONE Championship before joining BKFC.

From 2016 to 2021, Perry won seven out of his 15 UFC fights. He defeated “Night Train” Julian Lane, 35, of Mansfield, Ohio, USA at “BKFC: Knucklemania II” at Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida on February 19, 2022 and “Venom” Michael Page, 35, of Hackney, London, England at “BKFC 27” at OVO Arena Wembley in London on August 20, 2022.

In professional mixed martial arts, Perry had 14 wins and 8 losses while Rockhold had 16 wins and 6 losses. In MMA, Perry started as a lightweight before becoming a welterweight while Rockhold competed as a middleweight except in 2019 when he was a light heavyweight.

Rockhold is a former UFC Middleweight Champion. From 2013 to 2022, he defeated six among his 11 UFC opponents.

In Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Perry is a purple belt and Rockhold is a black belt. The former is 5’10” tall and the latter is 6’3″ tall.
