A total of 17 men are accused of seeking to engage in illicit acts with children in Chandler, Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. They were arrested when the Chandler Police Department launched an operation that happened between January 24, 2023 and January 26, 2023 and targeted online adult predators.
More than 70 officers, deputies and officials from other parts of Arizona including Gilbert, Glendale and Mesa participated in the operation. The Chandler Police Department also worked with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The 17 suspects were arrested for 43 sex-related crimes. No other details were released about the charges filed against them.
During the investigation, various illegal drugs and three guns were confiscated. Here is the list of the arrestees’ names:

According to the Chandler Police Department, events such as the Super Bowl, the Waste Management Phoenix Open (WMPO) and the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction draw large crowds of people from across the U.S. This can create a bigger market for human sex trafficking-related activities, the department said.
The 2023 Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction was held at the Westworld of Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Maricopa County from January 21-29, 2023. The 2023 WMPO was held at the TPC Scottsdale in Scottsdale from February 9-12, 2023 while Super Bowl LVII took place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on February 12, 2023.
