Dylan Jay Harrington, 27, of Chesaw, Okanogan County, Washington, United States is 5’9″ tall. He weighs around 145 pounds.
Harrington is wanted on two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of unauthorized removal or concealment of a body with national extradition. He is accused of fatally shooting Omak, Okanogan County couple Dave Covey, 80, and Gerlyn Covey, 66.
Before Dave and Gerlyn died, Harrington allegedly squatted near the couple’s house in Omak and stole supplies from the house. On January 13, 2022, the couple left their house to visit their property near Chesaw.
On February 13, 2022, Dave and Gerlyn’s truck was found abandoned at the gate of the property. At around 8:38 a.m. on February 15, 2022, the Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office received a request to perform a welfare check for the couple.
At around 5:44 p.m. on February 16, 2022, Dave and Gerlyn were found dead at their property near Chesaw. A sheet of plywood was placed over their bodies, which had been burned.
After the bodies were found, Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office detectives identified Harrington as a person of interest. A nationwide extradition warrant was issued for him for him.
The Chesaw resident is still on the run. Led by the U.S. Marshals Service, the Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading directly to his arrest.
