Roselynn Castillo, 32, of Mexia, Limestone County, Texas, United States worked at Mexia High School on North Ross Avenue in Mexia as a Spanish teacher. On May 22, 2018, she registered to vote in Mexia.

While employed by Mexia High School, Castillo allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with a student. In February 2023, the Mexia Independent School District was made aware of the allegation.

The Mexia ISD immediately contacted the Mexia Police Department and put Castillo on paid administrative leave. On March 8, 2023, she was taken into custody without incident. 

Castillo was charged with sexual assault of a child and improper relationship between educator and student, which are both second-degree felonies. She was booked into the Limestone County Jail in Groesbeck, Limestone County.

No other information was released. According to the Mexia Police Department, the case is currently under investigation.

Anna Nicole Smith, who was born Vickie Lynn Hogan in Houston, Texas, attended Mexia High School but dropped out during her sophomore year. On February 8, 2007, she died in Hollywood, Broward County, Florida, USA at age 39.

Smith gave birth to Daniel Wayne Smith in Mexia. On September 10, 2006, he died from an accidental overdose in Nassau, Bahamas at age 20.
