Federal Way, Washington’s Austin L. Olson arrested by Lake Oswego Police Department

Austin L. Olson, 26, of Federal Way, King County, Washington, United States recently contacted someone online. He allegedly offered to pay money in exchange for the person to perform sexual acts he requested.

Little did Olson know that he was communicating with one of the law enforcement officers posing as decoys. It was part of a human sex trafficking mission the Lake Oswego Police Department in Lake Oswego, Oregon conducted on March 23, 2023 with the assistance of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, the Milwaukie Police Department, the Oregon City Police Department and the Sandy Police Department.


Olson and seven other men responded to the decoys. The eight men were arrested when they met with the decoys.

Terrance A. Schloth, 52, of Gresham, Multnomah County, Oregon is one of the arrestees. After initially giving a false name, he was charged for commercial sexual solicitation and the additional charge of giving false information to a peace officer in connection with a citation.

Including Olson, the other seven arrestees were cited for commercial sexual solicitation. They have all been released.


Federal Way was incorporated as a city on February 28, 1990. Until 2014, it was was home to Weyerhaeuser, the world’s largest private owner of softwood timberland.

Former National Basketball Association player C.J. Elleby, 22, was born in Federal Way. Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA, former Bellator MMA fighter and Ultimate Fighting Championship champion Benson Henderson, 39, grew up in Federal Way.
