Jake R. Walt, 27, of Fontana, San Bernardino County, California, United States previously lived in Hesperia, San Bernardino County. He attended Sultana High School in Hesperia.

Recently, Walt contacted someone online. He allegedly offered to pay money in exchange for the person to perform sexual acts he requested.

Unbeknownst to Walt, he was communicating with one of the law enforcement officers posing as decoys as part of a human sex trafficking mission of the Lake Oswego Police Department in Lake Oswego, Oregon. The department conducted the operation on March 23, 2023 with the assistance of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, the Oregon City Police Department, the Milwaukie Police Department and the Sandy Police Department. 

Including Walt, eight men responded and were arrested when they met with the decoys. One of them is Terrance A. Schloth, 52, of Gresham, Multnomah County, Oregon.

Schloth initially gave a false name so he was charged for commercial sexual solicitation and the additional charge of giving false information to a peace officer in connection with a citation. Walt and the other six men were released after being cited for commercial sexual solicitation.

Fontana was founded in 1913 by farmer, rancher and developer Azariel Blanchard Miller. It was incorporated as a city on June 25, 1952.

Actors Sharon Jordan, 63, and Melissa Ricks, 33, were both born in Fontana. Acquanetta Warren, 66, is the incumbent mayor of the city.
