Landon Skylar Burke-Cooper, 19, of Lake City, Columbia County, Florida, United States is prohibited from possessing firearms not only because of his age. He was also adjudicated delinquent three times as a minor.

On March 25, 2023, Burke-Cooper was inside Simons, a nightclub in Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida. He was allegedly carrying a Glock 19 with an extended magazine that was loaded with 31 rounds of ammunition. 

A bouncer at the night club learned that Burke-Cooper was lifting his shirt and displaying a firearm while on the dance floor. The bouncer confronted the teenager, wrestled him and tried to disarm him.

A Gainesville Police Department officer responded to the scene and arrested Burke-Cooper. He was charged with carrying a concealed firearm without a permit, carrying a concealed firearm during the commission of a felony and possession with a firearm by a delinquent under 24 years of age.

In other news, Telvin Rudolph Sweeting, 31, of Starke, Bradford County, Florida was arrested in Gainesville on March 19, 2023. He was charged with sexual battery and robbery.

On the evening of April 15, 2022, a woman drank with friends at Simons in Gainesville. On the early morning of April 16, 2022, Sweeting allegedly sexually assaulted her in the backseat of his silver Hyundai sedan.
