Brandon Darryl Kane, 27, of Silver Spring, Montgomery County, Maryland, United States is accused of robbing and assaulting two men he met on a dating app. On October 10, 2022, he used the fake name Tommy and met his first victim online.

Kane took an Uber to the house of the first victim, who agreed to pay him $100 for sex. When the two had a dispute about who would pay for the Uber back, Kane choked the victim, took $1,200 from him and fled.

On October 19, 2022, the first victim reported to the Montgomery County Police Department that he had been robbed by Kane, who he only knew at the time as Tommy. On October 22, 2022, Kane invited his second victim to come over then assaulted and robbed him. 

On April 6, 2023, Kane was arrested in Baltimore, Maryland. He was charged with first-degree assault and two counts of robbery.
