Was Arthur Grand hiring a white business analyst from Dallas, Texas via Indeed?

Arthur Grand is an information technology services firm based in Ashburn, Virginia, United States. Founded in 2012, it is focused on digital transformation initiatives for its federal and commercial customers.

Founded in 2004, Indeed is an employment website for job listings. Its headquarters are in Austin, Texas, USA and in Stamford, Connecticut, USA.


On April 4, 2023, a job posting on Indeed went viral on Reddit and Twitter. In the posting, Arthur Grand advertised a business analyst role for its Salesforce and insurance claims team.

Specifically, the posting indicated that Arthur Grand was seeking out candidates who were born in the U.S. and are located within 60 miles from Dallas, Texas. Listed as the clients were HTC Global and Berkshire Hathaway.

Established in 1990 and headquartered in Troy, Michigan, USA, HTC Global Services provides information technology and business process services. Berkshire Hathaway is a conglomerate holding company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, USA.


On April 5, 2023, Arthur Grand explained that the job posting on Indeed was neither authorized nor posted by its active employees. A man who used to work for the company former edited an existing posting, added discriminatory language and reposted the position through his own account, according to the company.

“The moment this was brought to our attention, we worked with the job portal to remove this offensive job posting,” Arthur Grand stated. “Necessary legal action has been initiated against the job poster.”
