Bob Lee was a software engineer and businessman born in St. Louis, Missouri, United States to Rick Lee and Nan Lee. Bob has a brother named Tim Oliver Lee.

Bob had polydactyly before undergoing surgery. He and his wife Krista Lee have one son and one daughter together.

While attending Lindbergh High School in Sappington, Missouri, Lee wrote a 3D rendering engine in the software development system Turbo Pascal. He attended Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

  9. In 2019, his mother died. In the same year, he and Krista separated and he and his father moved to Mill Valley, California.
  10. During the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which started in 2020, he helped develop the app of the World Health Organization.
  11. In 2021, he became the chief product officer of cryptocurrency payment firm MobileCoin.
  12. In October 2022, he and his father moved to Miami, Florida, USA.
  13. On April 4, 2023, he was fatally stabbed Lee in Rincon Hill, San Francisco allegedly by Momeni. He died at age 43. On April 14, 2023, Momeni was arrested.
