Both Wilson LaMar Hill Jr., 20, and Willie George Brown Jr., 19, are from Auburn, Lee County, Alabama, United States. Johnny Letron Brown, 20, Ty Reik McCullough, 17, and Travis McCullough, 16, are from Tuskegee, Macon County, Alabama.

On the evening of April 15, 2023, Hill, Willie, Johnny, Ty Reik, Travis and another Tuskegee resident, 15, allegedly carried out a shooting at the 16th birthday party of Alexis Dowdell of Dadeville, Tallapoosa County, Alabama at a dance studio in Dadeville. The celebrant is Annette Allen‘s granddaughter, Latonya Allen‘s daughter and a younger sister of Philstavious “Phil” Dowdell, 18.  

Phil and three other attendees namely Corbin Dahmontrey Holston, 23, Marsiah Emmanuel “Siah” Collins, 19, and Shaunkivia Nicole “KeKe” Smith, 17, were fatally shot. A total of 32 others were injured.

Both Phil and Smith were senior students of Dadeville High School. Holston graduated from Dadeville High School in 2018 and Collins graduated from Opelika High School in Opelika, Lee County in 2022.

On April 19, 2023, Hill, Ty Reik and Travis were arrested. On April 20, 2023, Johnny, Willie and the 15-year-old suspect were arrested.

The six suspects were each charged with four counts of reckless murder and additional charges are expected to be filed against them. They were booked into the Tallapoosa County Jail in Dadeville without bond.

Ty Reik Travis would be charged as adults. They are siblings.
