Lithonia Middle School’s Samuel Wilder released from DeKalb County Jail, accused of abusing 2 teachers

Dr. Samuel David Wilder is an employee of the DeKalb County School District in DeKalb County, Georgia, United States. He is an assistant principal at Lithonia Middle School in Lithonia, DeKalb County.

On April 18, 2023, Wilder was allegedly involved in a sexual misconduct. He is accused of inappropriately touching two female Lithonia Middle School teachers at work.

According to one of the two teachers, Wilder used his position of power to force her to have sex with him at Lithonia Middle School. Detectives from the DCSD Police Department immediately started investigating him after receiving reports of possible inappropriate actions on his part.

Due to the seriousness of the allegations, the DCSD followed appropriate protocols and procedures and placed Wilder on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. No students were found to have been involved in the allegations.

On April 20, 2023, Wilder was arrested by the DeKalb County School Police. He was charged with simple battery, aggravated sexual battery and aggravated sodomy.

Wilder was booked into the DeKalb County Jail in Decatur, DeKalb County and was released after posting bond. He is currently awaiting his day in court.
