Jacob Baladez, 50, of San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, United States served a prison sentence for murder from November 1992 to March 3, 2022. After his release, he lived with his girlfriend and her daughter, 13, and worked at Northwoods Shopping Center in San Antonio.

From January 25, 2023 to February 1, 2023, Baladez allegedly used his cellphone to take nude photos and videos of the teenage girl while she was changing in her bedroom without her knowledge. He allegedly placed the cellphone under her door with the camera facing upward.

On February 6, 2023, Baladez’s girlfriend dropped him off to work at Northwoods Shopping Center and found his phone in their car. She looked through the phone and came across the photos and videos of her daughter.

Baladez’s girlfriend recognized his voice in the recordings. She immediately contacted the San Antonio Police Department, which obtained a search warrant for the phone.

Just before midnight on May 3, 2023, Baladez was arrested. He was booked into the Bexar County Jail in San Antonio.

Bail for Baladez was set at $30,000. The convicted murderer was charged with invasive visual recording.
