Professionally known as Loreen, singer Lorine Zineb Nora Talhaoui, 39, was born in Stockholm, Sweden to Moroccan parents. She grew up in Västerås, Sweden.
Loreen competed in “Idol 2004“, which aired in Sweden on TV4 from August 2004 to November 2004. She finished fourth.
“Johnny Logan” Seán Patrick Michael Sherrard, 69, of Ireland and Loreen are the only two artists to have won the Eurovision Song Contest twice. He won the contest in 1980 and 1987.
On February 26, 2012, Warner Music Sweden released “Euphoria“, the third single from Loreen’s debut studio album “Heal“. Written by Thomas Gustafsson, 55, and Peter Boström, 51, the song won the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 at the Baku Crystal Hall in Baku, Azerbaijan on May 26, 2012.
On February 25, 2023, Universal released Loreen’s single “Tattoo“, which Loreen, Gustafsson and Boström co-wrote with Jimmy Thörnfeldt, 47, Jimmy Jansson, 37, and Cazzi Opeia, 34. The song won Melodifestivalen 2023, which started in Gothenburg, Sweden on February 4, 2023 and ended on March 11, 2023 in Stockholm.
Representing Sweden, “Tattoo” was one of the 37 entries at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, which was held at the Liverpool Arena in Liverpool, England, United Kingdom from May 9-13, 2023. The song won the contest with a total of 583 points from the combined public and jury votes.
Runner-up to “Tattoo” is “Cha Cha Cha” by “Käärijä” Jere Pöyhönen, 29, of Finland with 526 points. “Unicorn” by Noa Kirel, 22, of Israel finished third with 362 points.
