Daniel Rivera of Winter Garden, Orange County, Florida, United States was hired by Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts in 2003. He is a father of two.

Since 2013, Rivera had been searching for and obtaining child porn about once a week, according to him. While employed by Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts, he surreptitiously took photos of his coworkers and posted the photos to a porn social networking website including their private contact information.

In total, Rivera had 155 posts in the website including several photos of young girls and women he claims he knows and some of the photos showed his coworkers dressed as Disney characters. In March 2022, the website was taken down.

In September 2022, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about potential child pornography being shared on Dropbox. Investigators eventually found out that Rivera’s account in the file hosting service contained two videos of children under 10 years of age engaged in sex acts with adult men.

On May 11, 2023, Rivera’s residence in Winter Gardens was searched by agents with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security. They found a hard drive containing images of girls in erotic poses.

Rivera was arrested, booked into the Orange County Jail in Orlando, Orange County and charged with transporting child pornography. Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts has placed him on administrative leave pending the outcome of the charges.

“I have a problem I guess,” Rivera told his wife on the phone before his arrest. “I tried to fix myself but I never could.”

On May 15, 2023, Rivera’s wife gave birth to their second child. On May 17, 2023, he will attend a court hearing and additional charges are likely to be filed against him.
