Did Firth, Nebraska teacher Lillie Bowman abuse a student? Ex-trap shooter in jail

Lillie Rebecca Bowman, 23, of Firth, Lancaster County, Nebraska, United States is an alumna of Norris High School in Firth. She competed as a trap shooter in both high school and college.

On May 8, 2022, Bowman graduated from Doane University in Crete, Saline County, Nebraska with a bachelor’s degree in English language arts. She was a member of the university’s Omega Psi Theta sorority.

After graduating from Doane Univerity, Bowman became an English teacher at Norris High School. She taught ninth and 10th grade students.

Bowman is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a high school student while employed as a North High School teacher. Aside from teaching English, she was an assistant coach for the school’s trap team.

In March 2023, Bowman allegedly developed a relationship with the student and it became sexual. Authorities did not confirm whether or not she was the student’s teacher.

On May 19, 2023, Bowman was arrested by Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office deputies. She was booked into the Lancaster County Adult Detention Facility in Lincoln, Lancaster County.

The Norris High School teacher was charged with sexual abuse by a school employee, a class IIA felony. Details about her first court appearance are yet to be announced.
