  1. She is a resident of Bluff Court, Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina.
  2. Aside from Statesville, she has lived in other parts of North Carolina including Oak Island.
  3. In February 2010, the Iredell-Statesville School District employed her as an assistant. She later served as an exceptional children’s teacher then became a science teacher at Northview Academy in Statesville.
  4. On June 11, 2022, she allegedly had a sexual relationship with an underage student.
  5. On July 20, 2022, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a report about her alleged inappropriate relationship with an underage student.
  6. On August 1, 2022, she turned herself in. She was booked into the Iredell County Detention Center in Statesville, charged with felony statutory rape of a child 15 or younger, felony indecent liberties with a child and felony sex offense with a student, released on a $75,000 secured bond and placed on house arrest with electronic monitoring. Between August 1, 2022 and September 7, 2022, the minor she allegedly raped was at her residence on nine occasions.
  7. On September 2, 2022, she was arrested at her home in Statesville and charged with nine counts each of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor, felony intimidating or interfering with a state witness and felony violation of pre-trial release conditions. Her bond was set at $800,000.
  8. In October 2022, she resigned from her job as a Northview Academy science teacher.
  9. On May 13, 2023, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office deputies found her intoxicated while she and a minor were passengers of a crashed vehicle driven by another minor on Mocksville Highway in Statesville. One of the minors is the underage student she allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with in 2022. She was charged with violation of pretrial release and cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and a misdemeanor for allowing an unlicensed driver to drive.
  10. She was 37 years old when she appeared on May 15, 2023 before Iredell County District Court Judge Christine Underwood. After the judge reduced her bond from $750,000 to $50,000, she was released from custody without posting any additional bond.
