Tracy Jayne Vanderhulst, 38, of Yucaipa, San Bernardino County, California, United States is a former teacher. Aside from Yucaipa, she has lived in other parts of California including Fontana, Moreno Valley, Redlands and San Bernardino.
Vanderhulst was previously employed by the Beaumont Unified School District, which serves California’s Beaumont and Cherry Valley, as a substitute teacher. In 2014, the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District, which serves California’s Yucaipa and Calimesa, hired her as a regular high school teacher.
Vanderhulst worked at Yucaipa High School on Yucaipa Boulevard in Yucaipa as a math teacher. According to the school, she offered up “a rigorous mathematics curriculum and deep caring for her students”.
In 2017, Vanderhulst was named Yucaipa High School’s Teacher of the Year. Her annual salary that year was $78,063, which decreased to $72,631 in 2018 before increasing to $99,907 in 2019 and $109,389 in 2020.
Years later, Vanderhulst was accused of having unlawful sexual intercourse with a male Yucaipa High School student, 16. The allegation was investigated by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District.
At around 11:00 p.m. on May 18, 2023, Vanderhulst was arrested and booked into the San Bernardino County Sheriff Central Detention Center in San Bernardino. She was released after posting a $30,000 bail.
Vanderhulst is no longer an employee of the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District. Details about her termination or resignation are still unknown.
