5 most beautiful Miss South Dakota USA 2023 candidates

The Miss South Dakota USA 2023 coronation night will take place at the Watertown Events Center in Watertown, South Dakota, United States on June 11, 2023. It is the 72th edition of the state-level beauty pageant that selects South Dakota’s candidate for Miss USA, which selects the Miss Universe candidate of the U.S.

On April 9, 2022, Shania Ann Knutson won Miss South Dakota USA 2022 at the Watertown Events Center in Watertown. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Julia Gesling, Jaimye Wininger, Cate Berkheimer and Jhena van den Hoek. 

Currently, South Dakota has Miss USA placements. In the national beauty pageant, the state finished in the Top 5 in 2018 via Madison Nipe, Top 10 in 2016 via Madison McKeown, Top 12 in 1974 via Debra Ann Brickley, Top 15 in 1958 via Helen Youngquist and Top 16 in 2021 via Caroline Pettey.
