The Miss El Salvador 2023 coronation ceremony will be held at the Teatro Nacional de San Salvador in San Salvador, El Salvador on July 30, 2023. It is the 54th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects El Salvador’s Miss Universe candidate.
Representing Cabañas, Alejandra Guajardo was crowned Miss Universe El Salvador 2022 at the Fundación Empresarial para el Desarrollo Educativo (FEPADE) auditorium in Santa Tecla, El Salvador on August 13, 2022. Also crowned were Miss Intercontinental El Salvador 2022 Andrea Aguilar of San Salvador, Reina Hispanoamericana El Salvador 2022 Eugenia Ávalos of Usulután and Miss Turismo y Cultura El Salvador 2022 Debbie Morán of Morazán.
Currently, El Salvador has four Miss Universe placements including the first runner-up finish of Maribel Arrieta Gálvez in 1955. Representing the Central American country, Carmen Elena Figueroa finished in the Top 12 in 1975 while both Eleonora Beatrice Corrillo Alamanni and Carmen Milena Mayorga finished in the Top 10 in 1995 and 1996, respectively.
There are 14 women competing for the Miss El Salvador 2023 title. If facial beauty is the only criterion, these will be my Top 5 candidates:
