Blaise A. Taylor, 27, of Nashville, Tennessee, United States played football at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA from 2014 to 2017. He earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in business administration from the university.
On February 25, 2023, Taylor visited his girlfriend Jade Benning, 25, at her apartment in Nashville. Later that day, he called 911 and asked for the help of paramedics.
According to Taylor, Benning appeared to be having an allergic reaction. She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Benning was 5 months pregnant. On February 27, 2023, her unborn child died.
On March 6, 2023, Benning died. It was her 26th birthday.
After the deaths of Benning and her unborn baby, Taylor moved to Utah, USA. In June 2023, he joined Utah State University in Logan, Utah as a senior defensive analyst.
On March 14, 2024, U.S. Marshals arrested Taylor in Utah. He is accused of fatally poisoning Benning and her 5-month-old fetus.
