Michelle Daniela Marquez Dee is a Filipino actor, model and beauty queen who advocates for autism awareness and mental health education. She was born in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines to actor and businessman Frederick “Derek” Dee and Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez.

Two of Michelle’s siblings were diagnosed with autism. She spent much of her childhood in their family ranch in Utah, United States and in their family’s hacienda in Mabalacat, Pampanga, Philippines.

  2. From 2012 to 2017, she attended De La Salle University in Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology.
  3. In 2016, she modeled for the clothing brand Bench, which was her first modeling gig. She was later signed with Click Model Management in New York, USA.
  4. In 2018, she was a celebrity guest in a “Celebrity Bluff” episode.
  5. On September 15, 2019, she represented Makati City at Miss World Philippines 2019 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila and won the title. In October 2019, she became the Goodwill Ambassador for the Autism Society Philippines.
  6. On December 14, 2019, she represented the Philippines at Miss World 2019 at the ExCel London in London, England. She competed against 110 other candidates and finished in the Top 12.
  7. In 2021, she completed her certificate program in entrepreneurship essentials from the Harvard Business School, which based in Allston, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
  8. On April 30, 2022, she represented Makati City at Miss Universe Philippines 2022 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila and competed against 30 other candidates and ranked second. She finished second and won the non-competing title Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2022.
  9. In September 2022, she and her friend Rhian Ramos moved to a house they rented, which is a few blocks away from their friend Max Collins‘ residence.
  10. On May 13, 2023, she represented Makati City at Miss Universe Philippines 2023, competed against 37 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena and won the title. On May 29, 2023, she came out as bisexual.
  11. On June 20, 2023, she and Miss Universe Bhutan 2022 Tashi Choden Chombal were featured in an episode of the Miss Universe series “Universe United”. On July 22, 2023, she attended the GMA Gala 2003 at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.
  12. On November 19, 2023, she represented the Philippines at Miss Universe 2023 and competed against 83 other candidates at the Gimnasio Nacional José Adolfo Pineda in San Salvador, El Salvador. She finished in the Top 10 and won the Spirit of Carnival award and the Best in National Costume award. She also received the highest fan votes and was one of three gold winners of the Voice for Change competition.
  13. On April 24, 2024, she will turn 29. On May 11, 2024, she will return to the SM Mall of Asia Arena to crown her successor Miss Universe Philippines 2024.
