Michelle Dee biography: 13 things about Miss Universe Philippines 2023

Michelle Daniela Marquez Dee is a Filipino actor, model and beauty queen who advocates for autism awareness and mental health education. She was born in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines to actor and businessman Frederick “Derek” Dee and Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez.

Two of Michelle’s siblings were diagnosed with autism. She spent much of her childhood in their family ranch in Utah, United States and in their family’s hacienda in Mabalacat, Pampanga, Philippines.

In 2019, Michelle starred in the films “G! LU” and “Because I Love You“, starred in the television series “Love You Two” and “One of the Baes” and hosted “Glow Up.” In 2021, she starred in the television series “Agimat ng Agila” and “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon” and was named Best New Movie Actress at the 36th Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies and from 2021 to 2022, she played Hazel in “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon” and Serpenta in “Agimat ng Agila“, which both aired on GMA Network.

2. From 2012 to 2017, she attended De La Salle University in Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology.

10. On May 13, 2023, she represented Makati City at Miss Universe Philippines 2023, competed against 37 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena and won the title. On May 29, 2023, she came out as bisexual.
