
A boy, then 12, was reported missing to the police department of Upper Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States on September 7, 2023. An investigation led to the arrest of Joseph Slover, 24, of Towamencin Township, Montgomery County.
Three other men were arrested. They are Brock Tharp, 31, of Bally, Berks County, Pennsylvania, Nicholas Benotto, 24, of Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania and Tristan Anderson, 21, of Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County.
Joseph Slover
After engaging in text-based sexual conversations, Slover and the boy agreed to meet on August 28, 2023. Wearing North Penn Football shorts, Slover rode his bike to a parking lot where he picked up the boy and took him to his apartment in Towamencin Township.
Slover and the boy had sex on the Towamencin Township man’s bed. The former stopped communicating with the boy after taking the boy back to his neighborhood.
On March 8, 2024, Slover was arraigned on felony counts of statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, rape of a child, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16 years of age. He was booked into the the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Eagleville, Montgomery County.
On March 13, 2024, Slover posted $300,000 cash bail. On April 4, 2024, he attended his preliminary hearing.
All charges filed against Slover were waived for trial. On May 15, 2024, he will appear at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Montgomery County where he will be formally arraigned.
Aside from Towamencin Township, Slover has lived in other parts of Pennsylvania including Landsdale. He is Frank Slover and Theresa Slover‘s son.
On January 24, 2024, Theresa’s grandmother Claire Emilie Kalb died at age 89. Kalb was born in Ludwigshaffen, Germany to Heinrich Stahl and Emilie Stahl.
