Yotin Singtong, 39, of Bethesda, Montgomery County, Maryland, United States and his wife Pawitchaya Promwongpor are Thai. They have two children together.
On April 26, 2010, Singtong and Promwongpor got married. On October 26, 2021, they bought a property in Bethesda.
On January 19, 2024, Singtong and Promwongpor were in Washington, D.C., USA with their two children. On March 12, 2024, they visited the MGM National Harbor Hotel and Casino in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
During the week of April 8, 2024, the office of the sheriff of Loudoun County, Virginia, USA worked with the Northern Virginia-Washington DC Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to conduct a sting operation. The aim was to target child sex predators.
During the operation, Singtong and five other men were caught chatting with who they thought were children under age 15. Unbeknownst to the six men, they were actually communicating with undercover detectives.
After allegedly trying to have sexual relationships with minors at locations in Loudoun County, the six men were arrested. Singtong was charged with using communication systems to facilitate certain offenses involving children, possession and distribution of child pornography and indecent liberties with a minor.
The other suspects are Rodney Stevens Martin, 62, and Miguel Angel Ibarra Parada, 36, of Sterling, Loudoun County, Julio Camajuare Cisneros, 66, and Kodee Michael Matz, 23, of Herndon, Fairfax County, Virginia and Donnie Gray Lee, 36, of Mount Vernon, Fairfax County. Homeland Security Investigations, the U.S. Secret Service, the Virginia State Police, the Fairfax County Police Department, the Herndon Police Department and the police department of Prince William County, Virginia were also involved in the operation.
